Community Service Project
The Community Service Project employs a phased implementation model to train Master Trainers in community building, participatory research, and community development activities. These Master Trainers will then cascade their knowledge to trainers at district and mandal levels, fostering community development across Andhra Pradesh.
Implementation Model:
- Phase 1:Identification and Training of Master Trainers: Educational institutions/BCDE identify Master Trainers who undergo comprehensive training on community building and participatory research. Training incorporates both theoretical and practical elements.
- Phase 2:Development of Trainer Cadre: Master Trainers further develop a team of trainers to be deployed at district and mandal levels for program implementation.
- Phase 3:Program Delivery: The program entails 6 days of rigorous training. Three days of sessions are conducted online, while the remaining three days are held offline at Vijayawada, the current capital of Andhra Pradesh.
Key Outputs:
- 175 Master Trainers Oriented: Through online sessions, 175 Master Trainers across Andhra Pradesh have been trained on community building and participatory research.
- Over 150 Master Trainers Trained Offline: Over 150 Master Trainers have attended offline sessions at Acharya Nagarjuna University, Vijayawada, enhancing their practical skills.
- Delivery of Master Trainer Kits:150 Master Trainer kits, comprising essential resources such as Manuals, Student Curriculum, Survey Tools, and Case Studies, have been distributed to participants.
- Indirect Impact:Over 15,000 teachers have been indirectly impacted through the training sessions, enhancing their capacity for community engagement.
- Direct Impact on Students:Over 15 lakh students are expected to benefit from the training sessions, fostering community development at the grassroots level.
The Community Service Project's implementation model underscores a comprehensive approach to capacity building, empowering Master Trainers to drive positive change and community development across Andhra Pradesh.
